FAQ/Fees

Do I need a doctors referral?
No referral is necessary for Private or MSP funded patients, however you must have one for WCB or ICBC claims. If you have a private extended health plan, your plan may require a referral in order to reimburse your user/private fees. The Clinic cannot direct-bill your extended coverage insurance plan. A Dr's referral does not change the fee.

What are my payment options?
The clinic accepts cash, local cheques, Interac, VISA and Mastercard.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?
We require 24 hours cancellation notice. A $40.00 fee will automatically be charged for missed appointments.

What are the fees for physiotherapy?
Private Rates:
$63.00 Initial visit ( this includes treatment of a new area or over 4 months since last visit).
$53.00 subsequent visits.

Senior Citizens:
$53.00 Initial visit. $48.00 subsequent visits.

MSP on Premium Assistance:
$15.00 user fee for each visit. You are limited to 10 treatments/year. for all disciplines combined ( physio, massage, chiro etc.)

ICBC:
$28.00 patient fee each visit. A receipt for this will be issued which you may pass on to your adjuster.

WCB:
There is no fee for accepted WCB claims. If your claim is denied the private rates will apply.

DVA:
Rates vary. Please ask the receptionist for details.

Acupuncture/ IMS:
Those patients receiving Acupuncture/IMS will be asked to make a one-time, yearly $10.00 contribution at the front desk to recover some of the cost of the needles. This will be done on the" honor system", so please remember to pay your fee.

What are the Clinic hours?
Monday to Thurs. : 7:15am to 7:00pm.
Friday: 7:30am to 5:00pm.

Is parking available?
Yes. There is lots of free parking space.

How long is my first appointment?
You can expect it to last about 45mins. to 1 hour. This initial visit includes an assessment and treatment. Follow up appointments are usually about 45 mins.

If you are an ICBC patient you need to come in about 10 mins. earlier for your first appointment, to fill in some paperwork.

What do I wear?
If we are treating your Low back or any condition affecting your lower extremity, gym shorts are ideal.

For neck, shoulder and thoracic spine problems women should wear a bra. (For IMS a regular bra is better than a sports bra)

If you have orthotics, wear those shoes in.

We do have gowns and some shorts.

Do I need to bring anything else?
For WCB and ICBC we need you to bring in the Dr's referral

Will my extended health care plan pay for my treatment?
Because each plan is different you need to see what your individual plan will cover. We do not direct-bill your insurance company. You pay us and then submit your receipts to your own plan.

How many treatments will I need?
Due to a number of factors this is a difficult question to answer. You can discuss it with your therapist after the assessment has been done.
